As well as my nature inspired paintings I love to paint faces and figures. I love the different tempo it takes to paint the human presence. I am not after a likeness in my figures and faces. I am after a mood or feeling, and I share that aspiration with my landscape inspired work. I love the idea of a story being sensed in my faces and figures without spelling that out. A hint or a glimpse of something. Emotional inscapes.
