Nature is not something to copy—it is something to feel. The Wild Within Ecourse is an invitation to explore the creative terrain where observation becomes imagination, and paint becomes a personal language. Together, we will explore the energy, rhythm, and essence of the natural world through contemporary abstract painting.
Rather than creating literal representations, we will investigate how observation, memory, movement, and emotion can transform natural forms into expressive, personal works of art.
Working with acrylics and mixed media, this Ecourse will help you to develop confidence in abstraction through experimentation, layered processes, colour exploration, and digging deep into alternative ways to apply paint to a surface besides brush work. The course encourages curiosity, playfulness, and individual visual language building, while strengthening core painting skills.
Here’s a 4 mins chat about this Ecourse. I couldn’t be more excited to experience this journey with you!

Collage is one of the processes we will use to expand our personal abstract vocabulary this Ecourse. I am finding it really helpful.. The example above helped complete the painting below. It gave me the transparent orange layer idea that really softened the underlying edge.
